The new draft law "On Internal Troops" was put up for discussion at today's session of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament), APA reports.
The new draft law "On Internal Troops" consists of 6 chapters and 30 articles, and will determine the activities, rights and obligations of the internal troops of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the field of protecting the constitutional structure, sovereignty, as well as public order and public security of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the legal basis for the management of the internal troops.
According to the draft, labor relations of civilian employees in the internal troops are regulated by the labor legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to the draft, information on the service activities of the internal troops is provided only with the consent of the commander of the internal troops.
From the date of entry into force of this Law, the law "On the Status of Internal Troops" will be repealed.
The draft law was put to a vote and adopted in the third reading.
