The disinformation circulating on some Armenian social media accounts claims that Azerbaijani Armed Forces have allegedly fired the position belonging to the Russian peacekeeping contingent temporarily deployed in the territory of Azerbaijan and the accompanying civilian convoy, which is evacuating residents of Armenian origin, is false and lie, spokesman for the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan Anar Eyvazov said at a briefing, APA reports.
In response to such groundless allegations, I state that we are in constant and operational contact with the peacekeeping contingent and we create the necessary conditions for them to perform their duties, said Anar Eyvazov.
