“8 people stepping on a mine in the Chirag village of Kalbajar region on December 14, is an indicator that terror acts conducted by Armenia against Azerbaijan still continue,” said Major, an officer of the Land Forces of the Azerbaijan Army Ruslan Samedov, APA’s correspondent assigned to Kalbajar reports.

According to him, it is assumed that these mines were planted by the Armenian armed forces in December 2020.

"Neither during the First Karabakh war, nor during the Patriotic War, no defense line pass through Chirag village. In the case that there is not any military necessity, planting mines in these areas with the aim of causing human casualties is proof of the terrorist activities of the other side. On June 4, 2021, the reporter of the Azerbaijan State News Agency Maharram Ibrahimov, and the cameraman of Azerbaijan Television, Siraj Abishov martyred by an anti-tank mine in the territory of the Susuzlug village of the Kalbajar region, and this is the result of the activities of Armenian terrorists. We noted that all the responsibilities due to all these terrorist acts resulting in the loss of our citizens lie with the military-political leadership of Armenia," he said.
