The initial contract term concluded with women upon their admission to extended active military service will be reduced from three years to six months, APA reports.
This is reflected in the proposed amendments to the laws “On Approval of the Regulation on Military Service” and “On Military Duty and Military Service,” which were discussed at today’s session of the Milli Majlis.
It was stated that the amendment will serve to enhance the ability of female military personnel to adapt to military service, reduce staff turnover, and increase the efficiency of the organization of military service.
After discussions, the draft law was put to a vote and adopted in the first reading.
