The fine for failure of draftees and military officials to appear at the relevant executive authority for conscription, medical examination (medical certification), conscription to military units, and relevant gatherings without good reason will be increased, APA reports.
This was reflected in the proposed amendment to the Code of Administrative Offenses, which was discussed at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament).
According to the draft law, with the exception of evasion of initial military registration, conscripts and military officers who fail to appear at the relevant executive authority for conscription, medical examination (medical certification), conscription to military units, or relevant gatherings without good reason will be fined from three hundred to five hundred manats, or, depending on the circumstances of the case, from one hundred and sixty to two hundred and forty hours of community service will be imposed, taking into account the identity of the offender.
The fine for evading initial military registration is also being increased. The fine for citizens who are subject to initial military registration and fail to appear at the relevant executive authority for registration without good reason within the period specified in their individual summons is being increased from 30 AZN to 100 AZN.
The draft law was put to a vote and adopted in the third reading.
