The Military Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan has issued a statement regarding the exhumation of human remains found in mass graves in Karabakh, APA reports.

"Military Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan has carried out the exhumation remains of a large number of human bodies (allegedly belonging to persons missing during the First Karabakh War) from mass graves found as a result of relevant search operations in Dashalti village of Shusha region, Edilli village of Khojavend region, Sirkhavand village of Aghdam region, as well as Farrukh village of Khojaly region and other areas, together with representatives of the State Security Service, the State Commission on Captives and Hostages, the International Committee of the Red Cross and other relevant agencies," reads the statement.

It was noted that investigative measures on the criminal case against the peace and humanity committed by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia and illegal Armenian armed forces against the people, war, terrorism, premeditated murder, and other crimes under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code continues.
