A roundtable and an event dedicated to the signing of the "Memorandum of Cooperation" were held within the framework of the "Unity-2025" joint regional exercise organized in the Samarkand region of Uzbekistan, the Press Service of the Ministry of Defense told APA.
The event was attended by delegations led by Major General Arif Hasanov, Deputy Rector of the Azerbaijan National Defense University for Science and Education, and Colonel Akmoljon Godirov, Deputy Head of the National Security and Defense University of Uzbekistan - Head of the Military Scientific Research Institute.
During the round table, the expansion of cooperation between the countries in the fields of military education and scientific activities, the implementation of joint projects, and future prospects were discussed. The role of scientific knowledge and modern military education in ensuring peace and security in the region, the importance of mutual exchange of experience in this direction was emphasized.
The Azerbaijani delegation provided detailed information on the education system implemented at the National Defense University and the reforms carried out, and a briefing was also presented.
As part of the training, a "Memorandum of Cooperation" was signed between the Azerbaijan National Defense University and the Uzbekistan Military Security and Defense University.
