Measures to counter cyber and hybrid threats are being carried out as part of the “Unity Power – 2026” joint military exercise, Head of the Press and Public Relations Department of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense Anar Eyvazov said at a briefing on the exercise in Khojavand district, APA’s Karabakh bureau reports.
According to Eyvazov, scenarios involving responses to various types of threats are being implemented at the Gizilgaya Training Center.
He said the exercise covers the detection and prevention of cyberattacks, information measures against disinformation, demonstration of force and deterrence, as well as counterterrorism operations and the neutralization of illegal armed groups.
Eyvazov noted that the exercise mainly consists of three phases. The first phase includes activities related to hybrid threats, cyberattacks and information warfare.
The second phase involves preventing sabotage attempts and conducting counterterrorism measures, while the final phase includes tasks aimed at neutralizing illegal armed groups.
Eyvazov added that the concluding stage of the exercise covers the completion of the activities carried out.
