"Only 48 mine explosions in which Azerbaijani citizens were killed or injured occurred on the former contact line, and the rest were outside of it," Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of ANAMA Samir Poladov said at a briefing held by the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) for representatives of embassies and international organizations accredited in Azerbaijan, APA reports.
"ANAMA celebrates its 25th birthday this year. We have professional experts who clear the area of mines.
Note that our main achievement is cleaning of the territories on this scale during such a period. More than 1700 specialists work every day in demining areas to clear the area. 57 special equipment were involved in this activity," he said.
