Armenia provided minefield maps after intense pressure. We were provided with information about minefield maps in 2021 in 3 stages, the Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) said this at a briefing held on the occasion of April 4 - International Day of Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action, APA reports.

He noted that recently the opposite side presented 8 mine maps: “These records related mainly to the Kalbajar - Murovdag direction. We checked them. The accuracy of these maps was very low."

V. Suleymanov said that the provided maps should have reflected the coordinates and number of installed mines: “But we processed this data and checked it on the spot. As a result of this processing, it became clear that the accuracy of the maps was only 25 percent. The vast majority - 97-98 percent of these maps - were related to the contact line 30 years ago. I should note that according to statistics, 70 percent of mine-explosive incidents occurred not on the contact line, but in more internal areas.”
