Last year, 514 individuals were detained for violating the state border, 10,500 for violating border regime, and 3,726 individuals were arrested who were wanted, this was stated at the summary meeting on the results of the State Border Service’s service-combat activities in 2024, APA reports.
It was noted that, as a result of the vigilance of border guards, 123 individuals were detained for using fake documents, 10 for using documents that belonged to others, and 5 for attempting to cross border checkpoints secretly.
Seven individuals suspected of being in contact with foreign intelligence agencies for espionage-subversive activities against our country have been identified. As part of anti-terrorism measures, five individuals who had fought abroad were detained.
