Among the participants of the Nasimi festival, organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Ministry of Culture, in partnership with ICESCO, are representatives of the descendants of the prominent poet Imadeddin Nasimi, APA reports.
The poet's relatives visited the Shahkhandan mausoleum in Shamakhi.
The mausoleum, where Imadeddin Nasimi's brother Shahi Khandan is buried, stands out among the medieval monuments of Azerbaijan with its architectural style and historical significance.
In 2019, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation carried out extensive renovation work around the mausoleum located in the Shahkhandan cemetery as part of the "Year of Nasimi".
