Azerbaijan Writers' Union sends letter to President Ilham Aliyev

The Secretariat of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union has addressed a letter to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.

The letter states:

"Honorable Mr. President,

We wholeheartedly congratulate you on the occassions of unparalleled political achievement and magnificent diplomatic victory attained through your powerful leadership and brilliantly confirmed by the momentous documents signed on August 8, 2025, in Washington, D.C. — at the White House.

With infinite joy and pride, we state that this historic achievement is the continuation in the political-diplomatic arena and resolute international confirmation of the Great Victory achieved by the victorious Azerbaijani Army, of which you are the Supreme Commander, in the Patriotic War of 2020, and the full restoration of our territorial integrity and state sovereignty as a result of the successful anti-terror operation in 2023.

This new victory, which is the result of your unwavering determination, willpower, and hard work, holds exceptional importance for the strengthening and flourishing of our beloved Azerbaijan under your wise leadership. At the same time, these important agreements, brought about as a result of your farsightedness and successful initiatives characteristic of great leaders, are a very important contribution to peaceful coexistence and prosperity in our region, and to peace and development in the world in general.

We heartily congratulate you once again on this brilliant achievement, which deeply pleases and inspires us, the people of Azerbaijan, as well as all peace-loving, progressive writers, and wish you new successes in your determined, purposeful leadership activities!
