Cargo transportation by ASCO’s ships, part of AZCON Holding companies, increased by approximately 10% in January-September 2025 compared to the same period last year, rising from 6.4 million tons to 7 million tons, ASCO told APA-Economics.
Tanker ships transported 3,349,441 tons of cargo in the first 9 months of 2025. This figure represents an increase of approximately 10.6% compared to 3,028,549 tons during the same period last year.
An increase of 70% was achieved in transportation by universal dry cargo ships. During the first 9 months of 2025, 1,019,065 tons of cargo were transported by this type of vessel. In the same period of 2024, this figure was 601,451 tons.
During the reporting period, 28,330 units of motor vehicles and cargo trucks and 28,076 wagons were transported by ferry and RoPax-type vessels. Compared to the corresponding period last year, there was an approximate 4% decrease in both the number of motor vehicles and cargo trucks, as well as wagons.
