A meeting at the level of heads of state with the participation of the leaders of Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan will be held in the coming days, Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said at the Central Asia-Mongolia-Caucasus-Afghanistan (CAMCA) Regional Forum in Baku, APA reports.
Jabbarov said a number of important changes have taken place in the region over the past eight years since the previous CAMCA Regional Forum was held in Baku.
“Among them, of course, I would particularly highlight the peace process in the South Caucasus. For the first time since the countries of the South Caucasus and Central Asia restored their independence, this process has freed the region from wars, territorial conflicts and territorial claims,” Jabbarov said.
He also emphasized that Azerbaijan’s political cooperation with Central Asian countries has expanded.
