Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Georgia discuss cooperation on Middle Corridor development - PHOTO

Prospects for cooperation on the development of the Middle Corridor between Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Georgia have been discussed,  Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY) told APA-Economics.

Rovshan Rustamov, Chairman of ADY, one of the AZCON Holding companies, met on February 9, 2026, in Tashkent with Zufar Narzullayev, Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Railways JSC, and Lasha Abashidze, Director General of Georgian Railways JSC.

During the meeting, issues of mutual interest were discussed, including cooperation in the railway sector among the three countries, as well as prospects for collaboration to ensure more efficient organization of freight transportation from Central Asia toward Europe via the Middle Corridor.

It was also emphasized that expanding the application of digital solutions is essential to further increase cargo volumes along this corridor and attract new freight.
