The Agdam–Khankendi railway, which is a continuation of the Barda–Agdam railway line, by improving the transportation infrastructure in the Karabakh economic region will increase mobility in passenger transportation, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC told APA-Economics.
The design work for this railway line, which is 28 kilometers long, has been completed.
Within the project framework, Askeran and Khojaly stations, Khankendi Railway and Bus Terminal Complex will be constructed; the Khankendi Railway and Bus Terminal Complex will be built on the bank of the Qarqar River, on an area of 6.4 hectares.
Additionally, the construction of 2 railway platforms and 12 bus stops is planned within the area of the five-story complex.
