Baku. Rashad Suleymanov–APA-Economics. Military operations in Georgia will not impede the realization of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railroad. TRACECA’s Azerbaijan National Secretary Akif Mustafayev told APA-Economics.
To him, ongoing developments can prolong the construction of railroad and stated that long-term military operations could not be conducted in Georgia, where international economic projects were being realized.
“Routes via Georgia have been cut temporarily. Current situation will not last for a long time and infrastructure will be restored soon”, he said.
Delivery of cargos via TRACECA falls as a result of bombing of Poti Port. To him, 700 vans have been shipped via TRACECA before, but this indicator decreases at present.
Azerbaijan State Railway provided information that 388 vans had been sent from Georgia to Azerbaijan a day before.
