State Committee on Public Property Management holds meeting on outcomes of first half of 2008

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov â€“ APA-Economics. State Committee on Management of Public Property held a meeting on the work done in the first half of 2008 in the sphere of management and privatization of public property, the committeeâ€™s press service told APA-Economics. Chairman of the committee Kerem Hasanov said that the committee prepared drafts of about 25 normative legal documents in order to increase efficiency and transparency in the management of public property, accelerate privatization and improve management of public property.

Privatization of Azercell Telecom JV and Kapital Bank OJSC competed in the reporting period. Proposals have been prepared on pre-privatization restructuring of Azerboru and Bakielektrikshebeke.

As a result of the investigations in Baku and in the regions it was found out that illegal construction and reconstruction works were done, land plots were illegally leased in 480 cases.

Statistical statement about property #2 from 5404 enterprises and organizations, as well as balance account from 200 enterprises and 400 stock companies have been received in the first half of 2008.

Inventory acts of property from 460 stock companies and 210 state enterprises have been presented.
6400 state enterprises had 110 real estates on July 1. Reports on 5206 privatized enterprises, branches and 44000 privatized property have been entered Register.
6000 nonresidential lands have been leased.
