Technical Committee â€œInformation and communication technologiesâ€ established

Baku. Ilhama Isabalayeva â€“ APA-Economics. Technical Committee â€œInformation and communication technologiesâ€ has been set up under the joint order of Azerbaijanâ€™s Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov and director general of State Agency on Standardization, Metrology and Patents Ramiz Hasanov. Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies told APA-Economics that the main aim of the committee is to create national standards in information and communication technologies in line with international and regional standards, work out relevant regulating normative documents, increase efficiency of their use and participate in international standardization activities. Information Center of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies has been determined as a basic organization of the Technical Committee. Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Elmir Valizadeh has been appointed chairman of the technical Committee, director of Information Center Nail Mardanov and director of standardization department of State Agency on Standardization, Metrology and Patents Mazahir Samadzadeh have been appointed deputy chairman, director of human resources and legal department of Information Center Khalid Mikayilov has been appointed executive secretary of the committee. List of the member organizations and representatives of the Technical Committee is being specified at present. Strategic planning and scientific potential department of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies is to offer methodical assistance and ensure coordination of the committeeâ€™s activity.
