Construction of center for intellectual management of public transport to start in Azerbaijanâ€™s capital in September

Baku. Ilhama Isabalayeva â€“ APA-Economics. Groundbreaking ceremony of Management Center is planned to take place in Baku in September within the framework of the project on â€œEstablishment of intellectual management system of transportâ€, Azerbaijanâ€™s Deputy Transport Minister Musa Panahov said, APA-Economics reports.
Deputy Minister said that agreement had already been signed with the contracting company. Panahov noted that researches were carried out on all the roads of the capital to apply management system effectively and so that the system could have influence on the management of public transport.
Azerbaijanâ€™s Transport Ministry and Koreaâ€™s Ministry of Construction and Transportation signed Understanding Memorandum on cooperation in the field of intellectual transport system in April, 2007. Within the framework of this document South Korea will assist Azerbaijan in establishing intellectual management system of transport in Baku. Preliminary price of the project is $50mln. - $55mln.
