Joint seminar of Azerbaijani and Korean railroaders held in Baku

Baku. Ilhama Isabalayeva â€“APA-Economics. Two-day technical seminar has been organized by Azerbaijan State Railway and Korea Railway in Baku, APA-Economics reports
Azerbaijani Deputy Transport Minister Musa Panahov addressing the event noted that the seminar aimed to familiarize ASR with Korean high speed railway technologies. Panahov added that project on reconstruction of ASR would be presented as well and the seminar would contribute to prospects and reconstruction of Azerbaijani railways. Deputy Minister stated that the two countries had conducted railway cooperation since May, 2006. Memorandum on the issue was signed during Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyevâ€™s visit to South Korea.
Korean Ambassador to Azerbaijan Lew Kwang-Chul expressed his confidence that cooperation on railway between the two countries would be successful. Ambassador stressed an importance of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railroad for Azerbaijan and noted that after concluding of the project, Azerbaijan would increase its role in the region.
