Negotiations conducted with World Bank on preparation of Capital General Plan

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov â€“APA-Economics. State Committee on City Building and Architecture has discussed issues on preparation of Capital General Plan with World Bank , Jahangir Gojayev, international relations and information officer of the State Town-building and Architecture Committee told APA-Economics
He noted that Committee Chairman Abbas Alasgarov has met the delegation led by Peter Thomson, Director of Infrastructure Sector in the Europe and Central Asia Region of the World Bank today. Alasgarov provided information about problems on execution of Capital General Plan and solution to it, work process on drafting master plans of regional centers by support of World Bank and put forward concrete proposals on acceleration of process.
WB Representative stressed that assistance will be rendered in lifting of problems and acceleration of process and concrete steps will be taken in deepening of cooperation. General Plan is being prepared by the support of World Bank. It will cover Sumgait, Absheron peninsula, including Baku.
