MFA and Eritrea have been informed about the hostage-taking of 3 Azerbaijani ships

The relevant information was submitted to the authorized body of the State of Eritrea in the field of maritime transport, as well as to the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the Permanent Mission of Eritrea to the IMO and the Embassy of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in an official letter regarding the seizure of 3 ships belonging to Azerbaijan along with their crews in Africa, off the coast of Eritrea, Parvana Imanova, the press secretary of the State Maritime and Port Agency told APA-Economics.

She noted that on November 7, 2024, the State Maritime and Port Agency received information about the detention of 3 ships belonging to the company in question by the authorized bodies of the Eritrean state: "The Agency immediately informed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a working order."
