The Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan has commented on the news that the person who committed a terrorist attack against the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran was sentenced to death, the press service of the Office told APA.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, some media and social networks posted information about the capital punishment of the person who committed a terrorist attack against the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Tehran: "We inform you that we are carefully monitoring the progress of the criminal case investigated in the Islamic Republic of Iran and are in regular contact with the other party. In accordance with Iranian law, the criminal investigation has been completed and sent to court. The prosecutor demanded the most severe punishment for the perpetrator, but at present, the court has not made a final decision. We hope that the court will soon pronounce a fair verdict, ensuring the deserved punishment for the guilty person."
