Iran has carried out drone strikes on Nakhchivan, APA reports.
An Iranian drone struck Nakhchivan Airport.
One of the drones hit one of the airport terminals, while several others fell in different locations.
Another drone landed near a school in the city of Nakhchivan.
Note that since the beginning of the conflict, Azerbaijan has remained committed to its policy of neighborly relations with Iran. Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov called Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, once again recalling the statements repeatedly made by Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev that Azerbaijan’s territory will not be used against any neighboring or friendly state, including Iran.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev was also among the few world leaders who expressed condolences to Iran over the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei. The President personally visited the Iranian Embassy in Azerbaijan and offered his condolences.
Azerbaijan has been one of the few countries where the Iranian ambassador was able to hold a press conference and express his country’s position.
Azerbaijan also ensured passage through its border crossing with Iran, facilitating the evacuation of foreign citizens from Iran as well as the return of Iranian citizens to their own country.
Despite all this, the mullah regime today included the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, an inseparable part of Azerbaijan, among its targets and carried out drone strikes on the city of Nakhchivan and the area of its airport.
This once again reveals the true nature, hostility, and ingratitude of the mullah regime.
It once again becomes clear that the Iranian regime is destructive, recognizes no “red lines,” and does not understand the principles of neighborly relations and friendship. The regime’s actions demonstrate not only a lack of appreciation for goodwill and friendship but also disrespect for international law and the sovereignty of states.
