An internationally wanted Azerbaijani citizen has been detained in Poland and extradited to Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Justice told APA.
According to the ministry, another person placed on an international wanted list by Interpol’s National Central Bureau in Azerbaijan and located in Poland was extradited to Azerbaijan on October 1.

Following a request from Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General’s Office and subsequent negotiations, an agreement was reached on his extradition to Azerbaijan.
Rustamov was brought from Warsaw to Azerbaijan by officials of the Ministry of Justice’s Main Department of International Cooperation and the Penitentiary Service.
He was placed in a pre-trial detention facility in accordance with a court ruling.
