The trial of Altay Goyushov, who is accused of making public calls against the state, is set to begin, APA reports.
The criminal case has been assigned to Judge Eldar Ismayilov at the Baku Court on Grave Crimes.
The preparatory hearing of the court has been scheduled for December 29.
Note that a decision was made to charge Altay Goyushov under Article 281.2 of the Criminal Code (Public calls against the state, repeated or committed by a group of persons).
As he evaded the investigation and hid outside the borders of Azerbaijan, he was declared wanted in connection with the announcement of the charges.
By the decision of the Binagadi District Court dated February 23 of this year, a detention measure in absentia was chosen against him.
On September 17, amendments and changes were made to the content of the charges, and a new decision was adopted to charge Altay Goyushov under Article 281.2 of the Criminal Code as an accused person.
It was noted that on April 20, 2020, on the YouTube platform on the channel “Düz Danışaq,” and on September 2, 2024, and January 1, 2025, on his Facebook channel “Altay Göyüşov,” he, acting together with others in advance and as a group, made and disseminated public calls encouraging the use of violence against the existing government of Azerbaijan, which has been formed and operates on legal grounds.
