The body of Azerbaijani citizen Abbas Abbasov, who was killed in a drone attack on Kyiv on 27 September, has been brought to Azerbaijan and buried in Kurdamir district, according to APA’s local bureau.
Abbasov, who was born in 1978, was laid to rest in the cemetery of Pirakochali village.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had earlier said that an Azerbaijani citizen was among those killed during what he described as Russian attacks on Kyiv.
The available information does not independently establish which specific drone or strike caused Abbasov’s death.
