A citizen of the Russian Federation detained in Azerbaijan was extradited to his country, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan noted, APA reports.
The request of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation to hand over Golubev Vladislav Vladimirovich, a citizen of the Russian Federation, born in 1966, who was charged with Article 196 (Deliberate Bankruptcy) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and was put on interstate search by the law enforcement agencies of said state, for his prosecution was granted by the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
V. V. Golubev was detained on November 11, 2023, while passing through the border control at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, and an arrest warrant was issued for him.
By the Convention on Legal Aid and Legal Relations in Civil, Family, and Criminal Cases dated 07.10.2002, the accused person was decided to be extradited and he was handed over to the authorities of the Russian Federation accompanied by a special convoy of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
