On October 22, at 00:10, two unknown persons from the Islamic Republic of Iran in the direction of the Republic of Azerbaijan, were prevented from crossing the state border by the border guard in the service area of the border outpost located near the village of Ostayir, Yardimli district of the "Goytapa" border detachment of the State Border Service, the SBS told APA.
The border violators who ignored the legal demands of the border guards fired at them, endangered the lives of the border guards and tried to evade the pursuit. The border guard engaged in hand-to-hand combat to neutralize the border violators and managed to disarm the border violators by showing professionalism.
