The total value of the 1 ton 212 kg 963.32 grams of narcotics and psychotropic substances seized from illegal circulation over the January-February of 2024 is estimated to be AZN 34 mln. 344 thousand, it was mentioned in the report of the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking in Narcotics on the end of the January-February months of 2024, APA reports.
It was noted that 17 of those who were brought to justice for drugs were citizens of foreign country. A total of 96 kg 387,564 g of various types of narcotics and psychotropic substances were seized from foreign citizens.
