Altay Goyushov summoned to Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General’s Office

Altay Goyushov has also been summoned to the Prosecutor General’s Office, APA reports, citing İctimai Television.

According to the information, Altay Rashid Goyushov is required to appear at the Main Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office, located at 160 Suleyman Sani Akhundov Street, Binagadi District, Baku City, on November 21 at 12:00, in accordance with Article 467-13.4 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

A decision has been made to involve Altay Goyushov as an accused under Article 281.2 of the Criminal Code. A search has been announced for him because he fled the investigation and is hiding outside Azerbaijan.

The Binagadi District Court had previously issued a pre-trial detention order for him in absentia on February 23 of this year. On September 17, additions and amendments were made to the charges, confirming his involvement as an accused under Article 281.2 of the Criminal Code.

It was reported that on April 20, 2020, on the YouTube platform via the “Düz Danışaq” channel, and on September 2, 2024, and January 1, 2025, via the “Altay Goyushov” Facebook channel, he, together with a group of persons acting in coordination, made and disseminated public calls promoting the use of force against the legally established and functioning government of Azerbaijan.

The accused has been warned that in absentia proceedings may be initiated, and an in absentia verdict or other final court decisions may be issued.

Goyushov has been informed that failure to appear may result in in absentia proceedings, an in absentia verdict, or other final court rulings.
