The event was held to support women's leadership in the field of information and communication technologies and their more active participation in decision-making processes.
The session was addressed by Doreen Bogdan-Martin, Secretary General of the International Telecommunication Union, and Kosmas Lakison Zavazava, Director of the Telecommunication Development Bureau of the organization.
At the event, members who contributed to the activities of the network during 2023-2025 were awarded certificates. Among them was Sahiba Hasanova, a leading advisor to the Technological Development Department of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, a member of the Advisory Council and mentor of the Women's Network for WTDC-25.
Tinatin Valiyeva, a leading advisor at the Ministry's International Cooperation Department, shared her experience with the event participants as a mentee.
It should be noted that "NoW" is a program of the International Telecommunication Union that promotes the participation of women in technology and the digital field. In addition to providing educational opportunities for women, the network also creates a mentoring, experience exchange and coordination platform to develop their professional skills. These initiatives serve to strengthen women's leadership in the telecommunications sector and promote gender equality.
