TEKNOFEST, Türkiye's largest technology and innovation festival, opened its doors to visitors in Istanbul today, APA reports.
The festival, held at Atatürk Airport, will run from September 17 to 21.
Organized jointly by the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation), the event will feature military and civil aviation displays, startup projects, robotics, smart city technologies, and other innovative products.
This year, TEKNOFEST has registered a record number of participants: 565,000 teams and 1.1 million individuals will present their projects across various competitions. Winning teams will receive a total of 65 million Turkish Lira in prizes and over 85 million TL in material support.
The festival will also host air shows by military aviation teams such as SOLOTÜRK and Turkish Stars, scientific demonstrations, and interactive zones for children and youth.
Entry to the festival is free, but online registration is required. The event will be open daily from 09:00 to 19:00. TEKNOFEST aims to boost young people’s interest in science and technology and support Türkiye's “National Technology Initiative.”
