In January-June of this year, more than 6,200 users of state information resources in Azerbaijan became victims of hackers, Tural Mammadov, Head of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Security, said at the 6th Summit of IT Managers of State Institutions, APA-Economics reports.
“The largest number of hacker attacks was recorded at the State Examination Center (2,406), the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (2,101), the State Tax Service (692), the Ministry of Internal Affairs (341), and the State Migration Service (216),” T. Mammadov added.
He said that in the first 6 months of the year, 95 employees of 47 state institutions became victims of hacker attacks due to non-compliance with cyber hygiene rules: “16% of them were employees with administrative authority.”
