Stephen Bye, President and CEO of Ookla, is on a visit to Azerbaijan, APA reports.
During the visit, a meeting was held between representatives of Ookla and the leadership of the Information Communication Technologies Agency (ICTA).
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation to develop the country’s digital infrastructure.
It was noted that ICTA and Ookla closely collaborate on monitoring and improving Azerbaijan’s existing telecommunications infrastructure. The partnership aims to enhance the quality of telecom services for all. Initiatives include providing data on QoS (Quality of Service) and QoE (Quality of Experience) indicators and supporting the expansion of broadband internet accessibility nationwide.
Ookla’s leadership proposed closer cooperation by offering new modern solutions to ICTA in identifying improvement opportunities in mobile coverage and fixed broadband network infrastructure, radio spectrum analysis, investigation of consumer complaints, and other related areas.
