Ookla: Artificial intelligence will affect all areas of our lives

There will be no field in our lives that artificial intelligence will not influence, said Stephen Bye, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ookla, during his speech at the “Azerbaijan Hospitality Connectivity Summit,” APA-Economics reports.

“It will affect everything we do and all the content we interact with. It will affect how we learn, how we communicate, how we socialize,” Bye added.

The Ookla president noted that an interesting point about artificial intelligence is that reliable and consistent connectivity is needed to realize these capabilities:

“That is why, as important as it is today, the importance of connectivity will grow even further in the future. Because when we look at the technologies being implemented—whether in data centers, centralized or distributed systems—without connectivity and without a mobile device to access that content, it is impossible to use AI and unlock its potential.”

Artificial intelligence will simply put more pressure on networks and create higher demands for improved performance. This will become a critical component of any digital economy in the future. Every guest experience will also be shaped through that connectivity and existing technologies.”

He noted that improving network quality is at the core of what Ookla does:

“We measure the performance of these networks, improve it, and through the tools and solutions we have today, we help our customers enhance the quality of those networks.

As the world becomes more connected, as more devices join networks and the volume of data transmitted over these networks increases, these networks also become more complex and more difficult to manage.”
