Live call with astronauts to be held at Space Academy during WTDC in Baku

A meeting event will be held at the Space Academy as part of the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC) to be hosted in Baku, APA-Economics reports.

The announcement was made by Imran Mukhtarov, head of the Space Academy under the Azerbaijan Space Agency (Azercosmos), during an information session for media representatives held within the framework of the ITU’s World Telecommunication Development Conference.

“There is an International Space Station (ISS) orbiting the Earth at an altitude of 400,000 kilometers. It circles the Earth 39 times a day and also passes over Azerbaijan. Our goal is to establish a live connection with the astronauts working on that mission. This will allow participants of the event to directly ask questions to the astronauts and receive answers in real time,” Mukhtarov said.
