Uzbekistan’s Center for Progressive Reforms, jointly with the Azerbaijan Caspian Analytical Center, is developing an information platform aimed at increasing mutual trade, Mirshohid Aslanov, CEO and co-founder of the center, stated in a comment to journalists, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, the heads of state of the two countries have set the task of increasing mutual trade turnover to $1 billion. By the end of last year, this figure had already exceeded $800 million.
“We are working on an information platform that will help businesses better understand market opportunities and make use of the existing potential. Analytical centers will provide entrepreneurs with the information necessary to access the markets of both countries. The available analytics allow us to say with confidence that our potential already exceeds $1 billion,” Mirshohid Aslanov noted.
He added that the existing ots.proreforms.uz resource of Uzbekistan’s Center for Progressive Reforms is being used in the development of the platform. The website contains statistics on the Organization of Turkic States.
“Based on this platform, we want to show how Turkic states can develop trade and economic relations based on real data and demonstrate how analytical centers can support this process,” Mirshohid Aslanov emphasized.
