First phase of fiber optic highway’s construction with Turkish border is completed

The first stage of the construction of the fiber optic highway from Turkish border, that is, from Sadarak to Ordubad has been completed, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Acting Minister Rahid Alakbarli told journalists, APA-Economics reports.

He noted that purchasing process of construction works has already finished: “The budget allocated for the project is 4 million manats and it has been almost spent. We are talking about the infrastructure that can carry the capacity of 16 terabits per second. This capacity is calculated not only for the autonomous republic, but also for the transportation of regional and international transit traffic”
