The development of Azerbaijan's postal communication is being widely promoted on international platforms, said Acting Chairman of the Board of Governors of Azerpost LLC, Isi Mustafayev at the Postal Leaders Forum for European and CIS countries, held for the first time in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
"This is already the second international initiative by the Universal Postal Union held in Azerbaijan this year. We held th first international event in January," said I. Mustafayev.
He noted that today’s forum hosts nearly 150 representatives from various countries: "Among them are postal sector regulators, representatives at the ministerial level, and heads of national postal operators. The greatest significance of the forum lies in promoting Azerbaijan. It aims to enhance the country’s reputation on the international stage. I would also like to draw special attention to one particular point. Azerbaijan has nominated its candidacy as a state in the next International Postal Union elections to be held in Dubai. On this platform we have opportunities to further promote Azerbaijan among the countries of the world and provide detailed information about the development of postal communications in Azerbaijan.""
