A large program has been launched in Azerbaijan to create artificial intelligence applications, said Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Samaddin Asadov during his speech at the scientific-practical conference on “The prospects of artificial intelligence in combating climate change” organized by the Parliamentary Committee for Natural Resources, Energy, and Ecology, APA-Economics reports.
S. Asadov stated that a 6-month artificial intelligence academy has already started operating in this direction: “With this, artificial intelligence engineers will be trained. This requires strong mathematical skills, as well as knowledge of foreign languages. Nearly 150 students have already been selected. This is a fully state-funded scholarship program. At the end of the 6 months, artificial intelligence engineers, data engineers, and other specialists will be trained. We have also started cooperation with well-known foreign universities for this.”
