The broad application of artificial intelligence is planned both in public administration and across various sectors of the economy, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Samaddin Asadov said in an interview with APA-Economics.

The deputy minister noted that in public administration, the primary goal is to enhance the accuracy of decision-making, organize management processes more efficiently and transparently, and improve the quality of services provided to citizens.

Within this framework, data management mechanisms are being improved, and the implementation of Natural Language Processing technologies is being expanded. At the initial stage, these technologies are planned to be tested in five pilot public services.

“Concrete results have already been achieved in this direction. Last year, within the framework of cooperation between the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and the Ministry of Justice, the ‘E-qanun.ai’ platform was launched. This AI-based solution enables effective searches within legal documents and legislative databases, automated text analysis, and the provision of prompt responses to users. The platform is one of the practical examples of the implementation of Natural Language Processing technologies envisaged in the Strategy.

In the economic sphere, priority sectors for the application of artificial intelligence are to be identified. Agriculture, healthcare, transport, education, and other sectors have been selected as key areas in this regard. The overall objective is to transform artificial intelligence into a practical tool that creates real economic and social value and increases productivity,” the deputy minister stated.
