It is no coincidence that we are hosting the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-25) for the first time, said Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Sameddin Asadov at a press conference held within the framework of the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-25), APA-Economics reports.
The Deputy Minister noted that this is a logical consequence of Azerbaijan's growing influence in the fields of telecommunications and innovation, as well as a long-term, effective and reliable partnership with the International Telecommunication Union:
“Azerbaijan has successfully hosted many prestigious international events. Holding WTDC25 in Baku is a tribute to Azerbaijan's achievements in the telecommunications sector and its contributions to global cooperation in the field of ICT.
Our position as a reliable partner in the digital sphere continues to strengthen. Our country plays an active role in various commissions and working groups of the ITU and is known for its strong initiatives. It is this active participation and our contribution to the global telecommunications agenda that made it possible to hold such a major international event — WTDC — in Baku.”
