The First Forum of Postal Leaders of Europe and the CIS will be held in Baku from May 13 to 15, Azerpost LLC told APA-Economics.

The event will be jointly organized by the Universal Postal Union (UPU), the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, and Azerpost LLC, which operates under the Azerbaijan Transport and Communications Holding (AZCON).

The forum, themed “Next Horizons: Navigating E-Commerce, Innovation, and the Supply Chain for Future Excellence,” will bring together over 150 representatives from more than 30 countries. Participants will include heads of national postal services, senior representatives of e-commerce and technology companies, as well as international experts in the field.

The goal of the forum is to create a strategic platform for regional discussions, comparisons, knowledge sharing, and innovation. The discussions will focus on the transformation of the postal sector in response to global tendencies and digital disruptions.

The agenda will cover key topics such as the growing role of e-commerce in postal networks, digital transformation, the implementation of sustainable logistics practices, and the increasing importance of cybersecurity to ensure trust and safety in postal operations.

By facilitating dialogue between industry leaders and stakeholders, the forum aims to drive the development of future-oriented strategies and innovative solutions aligned with evolving customer and business needs. It will also reaffirm the UPU’s commitment to promoting regional development and strengthening international postal cooperation.

The forum is expected to provide postal operators with practical ideas to remain competitive and sustainable, as well as adapt to the demands of the digital economy.
