New opportunities are emerging regarding the services of the Azerbaijan Space Agency (Azercosmos), Dunay Badirkhanov, acting chairman of the board of Azercosmos, told journalists, APA-Economics reports.
He noted that the new opportunities especially arise within the framework of remote sensing of the Earth.
“We have already started exporting services to new markets worldwide, including Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, and especially to developing countries. Azercosmos has implemented projects in agriculture, infrastructure planning, water resources, and other areas in the territories liberated from occupation within the framework of the State Program on the Great Return. Satellite images from Azercosmos have been used in almost all of these projects,” D. Badirkhanov added.
