Within the framework of the opening ceremony of the International Telecommunication Union’s (ITU) Regional Acceleration Center, a panel discussion on “Opportunities and Challenges in the Innovation Ecosystem” was held.
At the panel, speeches were delivered by Ke Wang, representative of ITU’s Global Acceleration Center in China, Ku Jiang, representative of the Regional Acceleration Center, and Elvin Hajiyev, representative of ITU’s Regional Acceleration Center in Azerbaijan.
Elvin Hajiyev, representative of ITU’s Regional Acceleration Center in Azerbaijan, stated in his speech that in addition to Baku, innovation centers have also been established in the regions of the country.
The experts representing China spoke about the characteristics of the innovation ecosystem that correspond to the specific economic model of their country. Ke Wang, representative of ITU’s Global Acceleration Center in China, emphasized the role of acceleration centers in reducing the “digital divide” and in forming an inclusive ecosystem.
