Azerbaijan plans to develop incentive mechanisms for the creation of private data centers based on public–private partnership, APA-Economics reports.
This measure is reflected in the “Strategy for the Development of the Digital Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026–2029.”
According to the document, research will be conducted between 2026 and 2028 on establishing a private data center. In addition, three incentive mechanisms will be prepared to support the creation of private data centers, at least two data centers are planned to be commissioned, and investments into this sector are expected to increase steadily.
As a result, more than two data centers meeting international standards will operate in Azerbaijan.
