“Technical preparations have already begun for foreign citizens to obtain a SIMA signature,” said Tamerlan Mashadihasanli, Head of the Product and Services Department at AzInTelecom, during his speech at the 9th Banking Forum, APA-Economics reports.
He stated that once the service is launched, citizens of European, Asian, and African countries will be able to register without coming to Azerbaijan—simply by downloading the SIMA application and using their passport or national ID card. He noted that the product is currently in the testing phase, and once the trials are successfully completed, the service will be offered for use in a fully functional form.
